Visitors to Scottsdale’s Old Town know to check out Shades of the West on the corner of Main Street and Brown. It’s the granddaddy of all souvenir emporiums, and we usually stop there early in our visit. The store holdings are eclectic, but always full of goods that make great gifts. To our complete embarrassment, we’ve never gone across the street to Bischoff’s at the Park, just across the street. Somehow we remembered to check it out in March and found that the store possesses classy decorative arts and interior decoration items. The wide open inside space is punctuated with lots of displays that look like they’re straight out of the pages of Cowboys and Indians.
